Brian Anderson status

Does anyone know what plans Doc & Petersen have for Brian Anderson?  I've watched him since high school; his stats were comparable to Brian Brohm, a University of Louisville quarterback now with the Buffalo Bills.  Thanks, DD

Today the Thundering Herd are down visiting the big easy to take on the Tulane Green Wave. This is a game I would like to think that we will win with ease. The only problem is with the histiory of our coach Mark snyder, NOTHING IS EASY.   I will sit back and hopefully enjoy a game where our superior talent brings us a victory. However history has shown that  poor game planning & preparation are the norm under this regime.  However, if we do happen to lose the game today. Rest assured that this should be the final nail in the coffin of our coach & bring joy & happiness to the entire herdnation!

Pennington vs. Leftwich

Score: 152

I know it was only a preseason matchup, but for 1 was extremely exited to see Marshall's two former stars at the Quarterback position go at it last night. Both players are in two very different spots in their careers. Chad Pennington, after the whole Brett Favre fiasco, got his career revitalized with the Dolphins. Byron Leftwich hopes for the same luck that Florida has given Chad. After backing up Roethlisberger and getting a Super Bowl ring, Leftwich is in a struggle to win the starting job from McCown, which after last night, I think should be over with Leftwich winning the battle. A little inconsistent, but better than McCown. Pennington had a couple of bad series', but that TD pass to Fasano was incredible. Overall, I was happy with what I saw. Hopefully these two teams can meet up in the near future with two Marshall alumni at the helm. GO HERD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and win against them Salukis.

WE ARE MARSHALL

Three Staten brothers grew up in Kenova, WV just miles from the crash site that claimed the lives of seventy-five players, coaches and influential people of the Huntington area. Two of us attended Marshall and we all still travel to the games even though we live miles away.

Memories are as fresh today as they were on that rainy night but the program the people and the area’s unwillingness to surrender keep us looking toward the future with new hope.

Marshall has risen from the ashes of November 14, 1970 and won more games in the 1990’s than any Division I team in the country.

I’m proud to have grown up there and the chant of WE ARE MARSHALL will be heard for years to come thanks to the people of Huntington who refuse to forget or give up hope of a brighter tomorrow.

I'm sorry Herd fans but Marshall needs an established coach not an alumni trying to develop his coaching style.
